Configuring a NAT Address Pool

This section describes how to configure a NAT address pool.

Procedure

  1. Access the system view.

    system-view

  2. Create a NAT address pool.

    nat address-group group-name [ group-number ]

  3. Set parameters for the NAT address pool.
    1. Run the mode pcp command to configure the NAT mode of an address pool.
    2. Run the section [ id ] start-ipv4 [ end-ipv4 ] command to set IP address ranges.
    3. Optional: Run the vrrp virtual-router-id command to bind the address pool to a VRRP group.

Set the vrrp parameter based on service requirements when the FW is used in a dual-system hot backup network.

    4. Run the route enable command to enable user network routes (UNRs) for addresses in the NAT address pool.

After this command is configured, the FW generates a user network route (UNR) for addresses in the NAT address pool. This UNR, like the blackhole route, can prevent route loops and can be imported and advertised by dynamic routing protocols, such as OSPF.

By default, UNRs are disabled for addresses in the NAT address pool.
