Upgrading or Downgrading the License Version
Context
After upgrading the device software version, you are advised to upgrade the license file and load it to the device again. Otherwise, service exceptions may occur due to changes between license control items of different versions.
Only permanent license can be upgraded or downgraded. Temporary license and fix-term license cannot be upgraded or downgraded.
Procedure
- Log in to Huawei ESDP system: http://app.huawei.com/isdp.
- Choose in the navigation tree to access the Version Change page.
- Read through the content in Notice, select I have read and agree to the above, and click Next.
- Click Upload to upload the license
file to be upgraded or downgraded.
You can search for and download the target license file in the ESDP system through the ESN of the device. The navigation path is Equipment(Node) Management. If the local license file is different from that in the ESDP system, the license file in the ESDP system applies.
- Select the current product name or version and the target
product name or version.
Select the right product and version to ensure that the product and version are the same as those of the target device. Otherwise, the license file cannot be loaded, and services will be interrupted.
In an upgrade operation, the target version is later than the current version; in a downgrade operation, the target version is earlier than the current version. - Check the information and click Activate License.
- You can download the new license file after the version
is successfully changed.
You can search for and download the new license file on the Equipment(Node) Management page based on the device ESN.
