Overview of System Statistics

System statistics provide visibility into the total number of protocol sessions, the number of sent and received packets, the number of discarded packets, and network traffic volume.

To meet different statistical requirements, the FW provides statistics from several dimensions.

Number of Discarded Packets	Displays the number of discarded packets on the network.	Statistics on packets that are discarded because: they do not match the session table, forwarding information base (FIB) table, or ARP table they match the blackhole route because of abnormal fragment caching or fragment reassembly Statistics on packets that are discarded during packet receiving and forwarding on each module

Number of Discarded Packets

Displays the number of discarded packets on the network.

Statistics on packets that are discarded because:

they do not match the session table, forwarding information base (FIB) table, or ARP table
they match the blackhole route
because of abnormal fragment caching or fragment reassembly

Statistics on packets that are discarded during packet receiving and forwarding on each module
