Configuring the LSR ID

Each LSR ID uniquely identifies an LSR on the network. An LSR does not have any default LSR ID. The LSR ID must be manually configured.

Context

To improve network reliability, you are advised to use the loopback interface address as the LSR ID.

LSR IDs must be mutually reachable.

Perform the following configurations on all nodes in the MPLS domain:

Procedure

  1. Run the system-view command to access the system view.
  2. Run the mpls lsr-id lsr-id command to configure the LSR ID of the node.

By default, no LSR ID is configured for the node.

Follow-up Procedure

To modify the specified LSR ID, run the undo mpls command in the system view first.

The undo mpls command deletes all MPLS configurations, which interrupts the MPLS service. Therefore, centrally plan the LSR ID of each LSR before the configuration to prevent LSR ID modification.
