Configuring the Threshold-Exceeding Trap Function

The threshold-exceeding trap function helps you learn NQA test situations in real time.

Context

The device sends traps to the NMS only when the trap function is enabled and the NMS is configured. For details, see SNMP.

Procedure

  1. Access the system view.

    system-view

  2. Create an NQA test instance and access the test instance view.

    nqa test-instance admin-name test-name

  3. Configure trap sending conditions based on the requirements.

    Item Command Description
    Trap sending upon probe failures
    Configuring the number of probe failures for which a trap is sent probe-failtimes times

    By default, a trap is sent if a probe fails.

    Configuring trap sending upon probe failures send-trap probefailure

    By default, no trap is sent if a probe fails.

    Trap sending upon test failures
    Configuring the number of test failures for which a trap is sent test-failtimes times

    By default, a trap is sent if a test fails.

    By default, no trap is sent if a test fails.

    Trap sending when the RTD exceeds the specified threshold
    Configuring an RTD threshold threshold rtd value

    By default, no RTD threshold is configured.

    By default, no trap is sent if the RTD exceeds the specified threshold.

    Trap sending upon test completion
    Configuring trap sending upon test completion send-trap testcomplete

    By default, no trap is sent when a test is complete.

    Trap sending upon test result changes
    Configuring trap sending upon test result changes send-trap testresult-change

    By default, no trap is sent when the test result is changed.
