Configuring a Stub Router
You can configure the stub router to inform other OSPF routers that they cannot use the stub router to forward data.
Context
Stub router is used to control the traffic. It informs other OSPF routers on the network not to use it as a transit point, but still route to it.
Among the Router LSAs generated by the Stub router, all the metric of links are set equal to or larger than 65535.
Procedure
- Access the system view.
- Access the OSPF process view.
ospf [ process-id ]
- Configure a stub router.
stub-router [ on-startup [ interval ] ]
The stub router has nothing to do with the stub area.
