Configuring RIP to Advertise Default Routes

A default route is a route destined for 0.0.0.0. By default, RIP does not advertise default routes to its neighbors.

Access the system view.

Configure a RIP process and access the RIP process view.

rip [ process-id ]
```

Configure RIP to generate a default route only if route permitted by the route policy is present as active in the routing table.

default-route originate [ cost cost | tag tag | { match default | route-policy route-policy-name [ advertise-tag ] } [ avoid-learning ] ] ^*
