(Optional) Enabling the SNMP Extended Error Code Function

After you enable the SNMP extended error code function, the device can send multiple types of error codes to the NMS to facilitate fault location and rectification.

Procedure

Access the system view.

Enable the SNMP extended error code function.
```
snmp-agent extend error-code enable
```
By default, SNMP standard error codes are used. After the extended error code function is enabled, extended error codes can be sent to the NMS.
