Configuring MAC Address Authentication

The MAC address for MAC address authentication must be a fixed MAC address. However, the MAC address of a mobile device is non-fixed. Therefore, if MAC address authentication is configured, mobile users may fail to access the network.

Procedure

  1. Choose Network > SSL VPN > SSL VPN.
  2. Click for an SSL VPN gateway.
  3. Select MAC Authentication.
  4. Enable MAC Authentication.
  5. Click Add and configure a MAC address group. The parameters are described as follows:

    Parameter

    Description

    MAC Group Name

    Indicates the name of a MAC address group.

    MAC Address

    Indicates the MAC address of the device that is allowed to access the network.

    Associated User Groups

    Indicates the user group bound to the MAC address group. You can click Multiple to bind multiple user groups to the MAC address group. In addition, a user group can be bound to multiple MAC address groups.
  6. Click OK.
