Configuring a Web Patch File

Checking Whether Any Web Patch Is Running in the System

The system can have only one running web patch. Before installing a web patch, ensure that no web patch is running in the system. If the system has a running web patch, uninstall the patch first.

  1. Run the display web-manager patch-information command to check the web patch information.

If a web patch is running according to the information displayed in the command output, uninstall the web patch first before installing a new one.

  2. Optional: Run the undo web-manager patch run command to uninstall the existing web patch.

Uploading a Web Patch File

Upload a web patch file to the root directory of the MPU before you install the corresponding web patch.

  1. Upload the web patch file to the root directory of the MPU.

The FW supports file upload through FTP, TFTP, or SFTP. You are advised to use SFTP as it is more secure than FTP and TFTP.

  2. Run the dir command to check the files in the root directory of the MPU.

Installing a Web Patch

After a web patch file is uploaded to the device, run the web-manager patch run command to install the web patch.
