VPN Overview

IPSec

BGP/MPLS IP VPN

A BGP/MPLS IP VPN is an L3VPN. In a BGP/MPLS IP VPN, BGP is used to advertise VPN routes and MPLS is used to forward VPN packets on the backbone network. IP here indicates that IP packets are transmitted on the backbone network.
