The assign logbuffer command sets a guaranteed value for the log buffer of a virtual system.
The undo assign logbuffer command cancels the setting.
| Parameter | Description | Value |
|---|---|---|
| reserved-size reserved-size-value | Specifies the guaranteed value of the log cache for system logs and service logs on a virtual system (the parameter setting takes effect for both system logs and service logs). | The guaranteed value of a log buffer for a single type of logs on a virtual system is as follows:
|
By default, the guaranteed value of a log buffer on a virtual system is 0, indicating that the log buffer size of a virtual system is not guaranteed.
The log buffer of a virtual system stores the logs (including system logs and service logs) generated by the virtual system. It is independent of the log buffer on the public system. All virtual systems on the device share and preempt system log buffer resources of the virtual system.
You can run the assign logbuffer command to set a guaranteed value for the log buffer of a virtual system. The guaranteed value takes effect for both system logs and service logs. Based on the guaranteed value, the device assigns log buffer resources that cannot be preempted for system logs and service logs for the virtual system. These resources are exclusive to the virtual system.
The maximum log buffer size of a virtual system varies according to device models.
The percentage of the log buffer size for system logs and service logs to the entire log buffer is the same for the public system and virtual systems, namely, 1/2 of the entire log buffer.
