The assign vni command allocates a VNI to the virtual system.
The undo assign vni command cancels the allocation.
| Parameter | Description | Value |
|---|---|---|
| vni-id | Specifies a VNI ID. | It must be the ID of an existing VNI. |
By default, no VNI is assigned to the virtual system.
Prerequisites
A VNI must be created in the public system before being assigned to a virtual system.
VNIs cannot be assigned in the following conditions. You need to delete the configurations or dissociate the features.
Configuration Impact
VNIs assigned to one virtual system cannot be assigned to other virtual systems.
After a VNI is assigned to a virtual system, the corresponding Vbdif interface is also automatically assigned to the virtual system.
Precautions
When a VNI is assigned to a virtual system or is disassociated from a virtual system, the Vbdif interface configurations (such as IP address and IPSec policy configurations) corresponding to the VNI will be deleted. Exercise caution when assigning or disassociating a VNI to a virtual system to prevent service interruption.
