| Parameter | Description | Value |
|---|---|---|
| node-id | Specifies the ID of a member in the cluster. |
The value is an integer ranging from 1 to 8. |
By default, the cluster management master device is negotiated by the cluster members.
Usage Scenario
If the current management master device is busy, you can run this command to specify another device as the management master device.
After the original management master device recovers from a fault, it wants to become the management master again.
Precautions
After running this command, wait for one minute and then run the command again.
When you run this command, if the status of the specified new management master device is changing from Up to Down, the management master device does not switch.
This command takes effect only once after being executed. For example, device A is specified as the management master device. After device A restarts and is added to the cluster again, device A performs cluster negotiation according to the normal process. Generally, device A functions as the management slave device.
By default, this command is executed on the management master device. After running the cluster standby config enable command on the master device, you can also run the command on the management slave device.
Running this command will cause a master/slave switchover. Therefore, exercise caution when running this command.
