databits

Function

The databits command sets data bits on an console interface.

The undo databits command restores the default data bits.

The default data bits are 8 bits.

Format

databits { 5 | 6 | 7 | 8 }

undo databits

Usage Guidelines

If you run the databits command to set data bits on an console interface on a FW, you can re-log in to the same interface only after you set the same data bits on your login tool.

Example

# Set data bits on the console interface to 5 bits.
