The deception ip-state detect rate command sets a rate at which the DecoySensor initiates IP scanning.
The undo deception ip-state detect rate command restores the default rate.
| Parameter | Description | Value |
|---|---|---|
| rate-number | Specifies a rate at which the DecoySensor initiates IP scanning. |
The value is an integer ranging from 1 to 4096, in "times per second". |
By default, the DecoySensor initiates IP scanning 30 times per second.
The DecoySensor initiates IP scanning to the detected network segment to check whether IP addresses are online. If the scanning rate is too high, services on the network may be affected. If the scanning rate is too low, the DecoySensor cannot detect the IP addresses in a timely manner.
