Usage Guidelines

By default, the delay of the BFD session to become Up is disabled.

In special cases, the BFD session needs to be delayed before it is established and negotiated to become Up. This can prevent the applications from ignoring the important premises such as whether the route is established and processing only according to the BFD status.

After you configure this command, you must also restart the device for the configuration to take effect.

Example

# Set the time that the BFD session is delayed to become Up to 120 seconds.
