device-group

Function

The device-group command creates a device group and displays its view.

The undo device-group command deletes a device group.

Format

device-group group-name

undo device-group group-name

Parameters

Parameter Description Value
group-name Specifies a device group name.

The name is a string of 1 to 63 case-insensitive characters, without spaces, quotation marks ("), or question mark (?).

The value cannot be any or all.

Usage Guidelines

A maximum of 16 device groups can be created.

If group-name is the name of an existing device group, the device-group command will display the view of the device group.

Predefined device groups cannot be deleted, and user-defined device groups can be deleted. The device group referenced by a policy cannot be deleted.

By default, the FW has three predefined device groups, namely, pc, mobile-terminal, and undefined-group.
