The dhcp option82 insert enable command enables a device to insert Option 82 into DHCP messages.
The undo dhcp option82 insert enable command prevents a device from adding Option 82 into DHCP messages.
By default, Option 82 is not inserted into DHCP messages.
This command is used to configure Option 82 only on the interface on which DHCP relay is configured.
After the dhcp option82 insert enable command is configured, if the original message does not carry Option 82, Option 82 is appended to DHCP messages; if the message carries Option 82, Sub-option 9 is added to DHCP messages.
The dhcp option82 rebuild command has a higher priority than the dhcp option82 insert command. Running both the dhcp option82 insert and dhcp option82 rebuild commands on an interface equals running the dhcp option82 rebuild command on the interface.
