The dhcp snooping alarm threshold command configures the alarm threshold of the number of the discarded ARP packets, IP packets, DHCP reply messages (received on the untrusted interface) and DHCP request messages.
The undo dhcp snooping alarm threshold command restores the default value of the alarm threshold.
dhcp snooping alarm { arp | ip | dhcp-request | dhcp-chaddr | dhcp-reply } threshold threshold
undo dhcp snooping alarm { arp | ip | dhcp-request | dhcp-chaddr | dhcp-reply } threshold
| Parameter | Description | Value |
|---|---|---|
| arp | Indicates that the alarm occurs when the number of the discarded ARP packets reaches the threshold. | - |
| ip | Indicates that the alarm occurs when the number of the discarded IP packets reaches the threshold. | - |
| dhcp-reply | Indicates that the alarm occurs when the number of the DHCP response messages discarded on the untrusted interface reaches the threshold, including the Offer, ACK, and NAK messages. | - |
| dhcp-chaddr | Indicates that the alarm occurs when the number of discarded DHCP messages, in which the CHADDR field is inconsistent with the source MAC of the Ethernet frame, reaches the threshold. | - |
| dhcp-request | Indicates that the alarm occurs when the number of the discarded DHCP request messages reaches the threshold. | - |
| threshold | Specifies the alarm threshold. | The value ranges from 1 to 1000. The default value is 100. |
Running this command in the Layer-3 interface view, you can configure the alarm threshold for the discarded packets on the Layer-3 interface.
If no alarm threshold is configured in the Layer-3 interface view, the global alarm threshold is used.
If alarm thresholds are configured in both the system view and the Layer-3 interface view, only the alarm threshold configured in the Layer-3 interface view takes effect.
