Function

The dhcp snooping check dhcp-rate enable command enable the check of the rate at which DHCP messages are sent to the DHCP protocol stack.

The undo dhcp snooping check dhcp-rate enable command disable the check of the rate at which DHCP messages are sent to the DHCP protocol stack.

Usage Guidelines

By default, the rate at which DHCP messages are sent to the DHCP protocol stack is not checked.

After the dhcp snooping check dhcp-rate enable command is run, the device checks the rate of sending DHCP request messages. A certain number of packets can be sent in a certain period time according to the rate and the excess packets are discarded.

After you configure the alarm function, the device sends the alarm to the NMS if the number of the discarded packets reaches the configured alarm threshold.
