Using the discriminator command, you can configure the local and remote identifiers for the BFD session.
| Parameter | Description | Value |
|---|---|---|
| local discr-value | Specifies the local discriminator. | The value ranges from 1 to 8191. |
| remote discr-value | Specifies the remote discriminator. | The value ranges from 1 to 8191. |
To create a static BFD session, you must set the local and remote discriminators. In addition, the local discriminator of the local end and the remote discriminator of the remote end must be the same.
Once being configured successfully, the local and the remote identifiers cannot be modified.
For the BFD session adopting the default multicast address, the local and the remote identifiers should be different.
