display bfd error packet

Function

The display bfd error packet command displays information about error packets received by a BFD session.

Format

display bfd error packet discriminator discr-value number

Parameters

Parameter Description Value
discriminator discr-value Displays information about error packets received by a BFD session with a specified local discriminator. An integer ranging from 1 to 16383
number Specifies the number of error packets. An integer ranging from 1 to 10

Usage Guidelines

Usage Scenario

If you doubt that a BFD session is attacked by packets, you can run the display bfd error packet command to view information about error packets received by the BFD session.

Precautions

You need to specify the local discriminator of the BFD session and the number of error packets in the display bfd error packet command.

Example

# Display information about 2 error packets received by the BFD session with the local discriminator of 22.

Contents of an error packet:
  • Incorrect discriminator: indicates the incorrect discriminator.

  • Incorrect destination port: indicates the incorrect destination port number.

  • Incorrect TTL value: indicates the incorrect TTL.

  • Incorrect packet length: indicates the incorrect packet length.

  • Incorrect detect multiple value: indicates the incorrect detection multiplier.

  • Incorrect authentication type: indicates the incorrect authentication type.

  • Incorrect authentication length: indicates the incorrect authentication password length.

  • Incorrect sequence number: indicates the incorrect sequence number.

  • Inactive authentication key: indicates that the authentication key ID has not been activated.

  • Authentication failed: indicates that a packet fails to be authenticated.

  • Unknown error
