display snmp-agent target-host

Function

The display snmp-agent target-host command displays information about all destination hosts, such as the IP addresses, number of the port that receives alarms, names of VPN instances to which the destination hosts belong, methods of propagating alarms, security names used during alarm propagation, protocol versions, and security levels.

Usage Guidelines

Through this command displays configurations of all destination hosts to which alarms are propagated.

Currently, the system can save and simultaneously display configurations of up to 20 destination hosts.

Item

Description

IP-address

IP address of a destination host.

Source interface

Source interface.

VPN instance/Security name

Name of the VPN instance to which a destination host belongs or a security name. An SNMPv2c alarm host displays a ciphertext string, but an SNMPv3 alarm host displays a plaintext string.

VPN instance/Security name

Name of the VPN instance to which a destination host belongs or a security name.

Port

UDP port number that sends requests.

Type

Requested method of propagating alarms. The method can be Trap or Inform.

Version

SNMP version number.

Level

Security levels, which include:
  • (A) authentication: indicates that packets must be authenticated rather than encrypted.

  • (P) privacy: indicates that packets must be authenticated and encrypted.

  • (N) no authentication and privacy: indicates that packets need not be authenticated nor encrypted.

NMS type

Type of the NMS:

  • NSM: indicates the network management system, which can be either a Huawei NMS or the NMS of another manufacturer.

  • HW NMS: indicates the Huawei NMS. The alarm message sent to the HW NMS can contain more detailed information.

With ext-vb

Whether an SNMP trap sent to a destination host carries extended private VB information:

  • No: indicates that no extended private VB information is carried;

  • Yes: indicates that extended private VB information is carried.
