dns-smart group

Function

The dns-smart group command creates a smart DNS group and displays the smart DNS group view.

The undo dns-smart group command deletes a smart DNS group.

Format

dns-smart group group-id type { multi | single }

undo dns-smart group group-id

Parameters

Parameter Description Value
group-id

Specifies the ID of a smart DNS group.

The value is an integer ranging from 0 to 31. The FW supports a maximum of 32 smart DNS groups.

multi

Indicates a multi-server smart DNS scenario.

single

Indicates a single-server smart DNS scenario.

Usage Guidelines

Before configuring smart DNS mapping, create a smart DNS group.

Smart DNS groups apply to single-server and multi-server smart DNS scenarios. If only one web server is deployed on an intranet, select the single-server smart DNS scenario. If multiple web servers are deployed on an intranet, select the multi-server smart DNS scenario.

# Create smart DNS group 1 and apply it to a multi-server smart DNS scenario.
