expire-time

Function

The expire-time command configures the expiration time of a user account.

The undo expire-time command restores the default expiration time of a user account. By default, the account is permanently valid.

Format

expire-time expired-date [ expired-time ]

Parameters

Parameter Description Value
expired-date Specifies the expiration date of a user account. The expiration date cannot be earlier than the current system time. The format is YYYY/MM/DD. YYYY is the year ranging from 2012 to 2099, MM is the month ranging from 1 to 12, and DD is the day ranging from 1 to 31.
expired-time Specifies the expiration time of a user account. The expiration time cannot be earlier than the current system time. The format is HH:MM:SS. HH is the hour ranging from 0 to 23, MM is the minute ranging from 0 to 59, and SS is the second ranging from 0 to 59.

Usage Guidelines

By default, the user account never expires.

When the user account expires, users cannot be authenticated. However, the online users are not forcibly logged out.

To restore the user account to the active state, prolong the validity period or reset the expiration date to ensure that the user account never expires.

# Set the expiration date of user test to 2012/12/31.
