Function

The file prompt command modifies the alerting pattern of file operation of the device.

The undo file prompt command restores the default value.

By default, the alerting pattern is alert.

Format

file prompt { alert | quiet }

undo file prompt quiet

Parameters

alert	Enables interactive acknowledgement on the condition that the operation, such as deleting files, can cause some data to be lost or damaged.	-
quiet	Indicates no alert is given on the condition that the operation, such as deleting files, can cause some data to be lost or damaged.	-

Usage Guidelines

When the alerting pattern is set to quiet, no alert is given on the condition that the operation, such as deleting files, can cause some data to be lost or damaged.

If the prompt mode is set to quiet, no prompt appears when data is lost due to inappropriate operating procedures.
