firewall mac-binding interface

Function

The firewall mac-binding interface command configures all IP-MAC bindings for the specified interface.

Format

firewall mac-binding interface interface-type interface-number

Parameters

interface-type interface-number	Specifies the interface type and number.	Interfaces can be the Layer-3 Ethernet interface and its subinterface, Layer-3 Eth-Trunk interface and its subinterface, or Vlanif interface.

Usage Guidelines

After the configuration is complete, all dynamic ARP (the mapping between IP and MAC addresses) entries on the interface are converted into static ones.

The restart of the interface does not affect the ARP entries on the interface.

Running the arp scan command on the specified interface only deletes the dynamic ARP entries on the interface. You can run the firewall mac-binding interface command to convert all the dynamic ARP entries on the interface to static ones so that they are not deleted.
