firewall unknown-mac suppression pps

Function

Using the firewall unknown-mac suppression pps command, you can configure the forwarding rate threshold of unicast packets with unknown destination MAC addresses.

Using the undo firewall unknown-mac suppression command, you can restore the forwarding rate threshold to the default value.

Parameters

Parameter Description Value
pps pps Indicates the number of forwarded unicast packets with unknown destination MAC addresses per second, namely the forwarding rate threshold.
  • USG6510E/6510E-POE/6530E: 1 to 20,000
  • USG6515E/6550E/6560E/6580E: 1 to 50,000
  • USG6525E: 1 to 50,000
  • USG6555E/6565E/6575E-B/6585E/6605E-B: 1 to 50,000
  • USG6615E/6625E: 1 to 100,000
  • : 1 to 100,000
  • USG6630E/6650E: 1 to 100,000
  • USG6635E/6655E: 1 to 100,000
  • USG6680E: 1 to 100,000
  • USG6712E/6716E: 1 to 100,000

The default value is a maximum of 10%.

Usage Guidelines

By default, the system limits the forwarding rate of unicast packets with unknown destination MAC addresses. This function cannot be disabled.

Example

# Set the forwarding rate threshold of unicast packets with unknown destination MAC addresses to 10000.
