By default, the USG6000E have the function of learning gratuitous ARP packets enabled.
If this function is enabled and the source IP address of a received gratuitous ARP packet fails to find a match in the ARP table of the device, the device adds the source IP and MAC addresses of the packet to its dynamic ARP table. However, if the source IP address finds a match in the ARP table, the device updates the corresponding dynamic ARP entry regardless of whether this function is enabled.
The interfaces that can be configured with this function must be Layer-3 interfaces specified with IP addresses.
