hmac enable

Function

The hmac enable command enables the hashed message authentication code (HMAC) check function for automatic upgrade through USB.

The undo hmac enable command disables the HMAC check function for automatic upgrade through USB.

Usage Guidelines

After the automatic upgrade through USB function is enabled, disabling the user ID for this function using the undo usb autoupdate userid command disables the HMAC check function.

By default, the HMAC check function is enabled for automatic upgrade through USB.

Before enabling this function, run the usb autoupdate userid command to configure the user ID for the automatic upgrade through USB function.

To secure the automatic upgrade through USB, run the hmac enable command to enable the HMAC check function to verify the HMAC field of the index file.
