ip address ppp-negotiate

Function

The ip address ppp-negotiate command enables IP address negotiation on an interface.

The undo ip address ppp-negotiate command disables IP address negotiation on an interface.

ip address ppp-negotiate

undo ip address ppp-negotiate

Usage Guidelines

By default, this function is disabled.

The ip address ppp-negotiate command applies to only the interface encapsulated with PPP. This command which runs on the interface enables the access server to assign an IP address to the interface.

After the IP address negotiation mode is changed in the Dialer interface view, you must run the reset pppoe-client command to re-dial up.

# Enable IP address negotiation on Dialer 0.
