Usage Guidelines

By default, IPv4 and IPv6 traffic statistics collection is disabled on an interface. The commands cannot be configured on MEth, HA, and Eth-Trunk 65535 interfaces and their subinterfaces. If the commands can be configured on subinterfaces, a maximum of 30 subinterfaces are supported.

When the traffic on an interface is heavy, some traffic cannot be collected due to the limitation of the chip statistics collection performance. In IPv4 and IPv6 statistics, only the actually forwarded traffic is recorded.

Example

# Enable the function of collecting statistics on IPv4 and IPv6 traffic separately on GigabitEthernet 0/0/1.

<sysname> system-view
[sysname] interface GigabitEthernet 0/0/1
[sysname-GigabitEthernet0/0/1] ip statistic enable
