v-gateway link-backup enable

Function

The v-gateway link-backup enable command enables link backup for a specified virtual gateway.

The undo v-gateway link-backup enable command disables link backup for a specified virtual gateway.

Format

v-gateway v-gateway-name link-backup enable

undo v-gateway v-gateway-name link-backup enable

v-gateway-name	Specifies the virtual gateway name.	The value is a string of 1 to 15 case-insensitive characters.

Usage Guidelines

USG6635E/6655E, USG6680E and USG6712E/6716E do not support the link backup function for the virtual gateway.

The link backup function is disabled by default. When the gateway is configured with multiple IP addresses, enabling the link backup function speeds up the communication. However, link backup has no effect on any other functional module when the virtual gateway has only one IP address.
