The nat64 v6out mtu command configures the MTU value for the packets on the IPv6 outbound interface in the NAT64 scenario.
| Parameter | Description | Value |
|---|---|---|
| mtu | Specifies the value of the MTU. | The value is an integer ranging from 1280 to 1500, in bytes. The default value is 1280. |
If the MTU value set for the packets on the IPv6 outbound interface is too large, the packet length on the IPv6 outbound interface may be greater than the IPv6 MTU value on the interface. If so, IPv6 packets are directly discarded. If the MTU value set for the packets on the IPv6 outbound interface is too small, IPv6 packets that do not need to be fragmented may be fragmented, which may affect the device performance. To prevent these issues, adjust the MTU value for the packets on the IPv6 outbound interface and the IPv6 MTU value on the interface based on the network environment.
