parent-group (local user view)

Function

The parent-group command adds a user to the specified parent group.

The undo parent-group command removes a user from the specified parent group.

Format

parent-group parent-group-name

undo parent-group parent-group-name

Parameters

Parameter Description Value
parent-group-name Specifies the name of the parent group to which the user is added. The value must be the name (with the group path) of an existing user group.

Usage Guidelines

A user belongs to only one parent group. If you run parent-group multiple times, only the last configuration applies.

If a user is removed from the specified parent group, the user belongs to the root group of the authentication domain. For example, the root group of the default authentication domain is /default.

Example

# Add user test to /default/group1.

<sysname> system-view
[sysname] user-manage user test
[sysname-localuser-test] parent-group /default/group1
