portal-url parameter mac-address format

Function

The portal-url parameter mac-address format command sets the MAC address format in the Portal server URL.

The undo portal-url parameter mac-address format command restores the default setting.

Format

portal-url parameter mac-address format delimiter delimiter { normal | compact }

undo portal-url parameter mac-address format

Parameters

Parameter Description Value
delimiter delimiter Specifies the delimiter of the MAC address in the Portal server URL.

The name is a string of 1 case-sensitive character. Letters (A to Z and a to z), digits (0 to 9), ampersands (&), question marks (?), equal signs (=), percents (%), Double quotation marks("), and spaces are not supported.

normal Indicates that the MAC address format is XX-XX-XX-XX-XX-XX.

compact Indicates that the MAC address format is XXXX-XXXX-XXXX.

Usage Guidelines

By default, the MAC address format in the Portal server URL is XXXXXXXXXXXX.

Different Portal servers or websites have different requirements on the MAC address format. You can run the portal-url parameter mac-address format command to set the MAC address format in the Portal server URL to meet the requirements of portal servers and websites.

# Set the delimiter of the MAC address to - and MAC address format to XX-XX-XX-XX-XX-XX.
