The ppp peer hostroute-suppress command suppresses the peer host route to be added into the direct routing table of the local end.
The undo ppp peer hostroute-suppress command disables the suppression of the peer host route to be added into the direct routing table of the local end.
By default, the peer host route is included in the direct routing table of the local end.
The PPP link does not seriously limit that the peer route and the local route must be on the same network segment, so when the IP addresses of both ends in the PPP link are not on the same network segment, the routes can ping through each other. When the error IP address is configured on one end, the fault cannot be checked and located correctly.
You can run the ppp peer hostroute-suppress command to control whether the peer host route is added to the direct routing table of the local end. After the ppp peer hostroute-suppress command is run, the peer host route is not included in the direct routing table of the local end.
After enabling the suppression of the peer host route to be added into the direct routing table of the local end, the interface must be restarted to ensure that the configuration takes effect.
