Usage Guidelines

Running the command closes all existing L2TP tunnels of the device. The L2TP sessions and PPP connections over these tunnels are also closed, interrupting the user services transmitted over the tunnels. Therefore, exercise caution when using the command.

Idle L2TP tunnels occupy system resources. Users sometime need to close L2TP tunnels to save resources. The following methods can be used to close all L2TP tunnels on the device:
  • Close the L2TP tunnels one by one.

Run the reset l2tp tunnel command several times to close L2TP tunnels one by one until all L2TP tunnels are closed.

  • Close the L2TP tunnels in batches.

Run the reset l2tp tunnel all command to close all L2TP tunnels at a time.

The method of closing L2TP tunnels in batches improves the working efficiency.

Example

# Close all L2TP tunnels on the device.

<sysname> reset l2tp tunnel all
