snmp-agent trap enable

Function

The snmp-agent trap enable command enables the device to send trap packets and set the related trap parameters.

The undo snmp-agent trap enable command cancels the current setting.

Format

snmp-agent trap enable [ feature-name feature-name [ trap-name trap-name ] ]

undo snmp-agent trap enable [ feature-name feature-name [ trap-name trap-name ] ]

Usage Guidelines

The default trap states of different features are different. You can view the default trap state of a feature by using the display snmp-agent trap all command.

This command can't be backed up to the standby device.

Usage Scenario

The snmp-agent trap enable command and the related commands are used in the following scenarios:

If you want to enable trap functions of all modules at a time, run the snmp-agent trap enable command.
If you want to disable all the enabled trap functions at a time, run the snmp-agent trap disable command.
If you want to enable trap functions of specified modules, run the snmp-agent trap enable feature-name feature-name command.
If you want to disable trap functions of specified modules, run the undo snmp-agent trap enable feature-name feature-name command.
If you want to enable specified trap functions of specified modules, run the snmp-agent trap enable feature-name trap-name command.
If you want to disable specified trap functions of specified modules, run the undo snmp-agent trap enable feature-name trap-name command.
If you want to restore all the trap functions to the default setting at a time, run the undo snmp-agent trap enable command or the undo snmp-agent trap disable command.
