Usage Guidelines

The ACL step indicates the difference between adjacent rule IDs. For example, if the step is 5, the rule ID starts from 5 and increases by 5.

If an ACL contains sub-rules, do not run the step command to change the step. Instead, delete all the sub-rules and re-configure the step.

Setting a step facilitates rule insertion into an ACL. For example, if the step is 5, the first four rules in the ACL are numbered 5, 10, 15, and 20. You can run the rule 6 xxxx command to insert a rule with the number of 6 between rule 5 and rule 10.

Example

# Set the step of ACL 3101 to 2.

<sysname> system-view
[sysname] acl 3101
[sysname-acl-adv-3101] step 2
