sysname

Function

The sysname command sets the host name of the FW.

The undo sysname command restores the default host name of the FW.

By default, the host name of the FW is USG.

Format

sysname host-name

undo sysname

Parameters

host-name	Specifies the host name.	The name is a string of 1 to 246 case-sensitive space-tolerant characters.

Usage Guidelines

Modifying the host name of the FW affects the prompt of command line interface. If the host name of the FW is "sysname", the prompt in the user view is <sysname>.

Example

# Set the host name of the FW as sysnameA.

<sysname> system-view

[sysname] sysname sysnameA
