Usage Guidelines

By default, the Telnet service is disabled.

If the undo telnet [ ipv6 ] server enable or telnet [ ipv6 ] server disable command is run when Telnet login is in progress, the command does not take effect.

Telnet does not have a safe authentication mode, and transmits data using TCP in plain text. This is not safe. On a high security network, STelnet is recommended.

Example

# Enable the Telnet service.

<sysname> system-view
[sysname] telnet server enable
Info: The Telnet server has been enabled.
