Function

The vsys command creates a virtual system and access the management view of the virtual system.

The undo vsys command deletes the new virtual system.

Format

vsys name vsys-name [ vsys-id ]

Parameters

Parameter	Description	Value
name vsys-name	Specifies the name of a virtual system.	The value is a string of 1 to 31 case-sensitive characters. It starts with a letter and cannot contain spaces, at signs (@), asterisks (), hyphen (-), or question marks (?). The virtual system name cannot be public*, regardless of its lowercase or uppercase, such as public, Public, and PUBLIC.
vsys-id	Specifies the ID of a virtual system.	It is an integer. The value range varies with the device model. Usage Guidelines

Prerequisites

The command can be used only after you run the vsys enable command to enable the virtual system function.

Precautions

The number of virtual systems that can be created on the FW is limited by the License. If the number of existing virtual systems has reached the upper limit of the License, no more virtual systems can be created.

The root system exists by default and cannot be deleted.
