arp-proxy inner-sub-vlan-proxy enable

Function

The arp-proxy inner-sub-vlan-proxy enable command enables proxy Address Resolution Protocol (ARP) within a VLAN.

The undo arp-proxy inner-sub-vlan-proxy enable command disables proxy ARP within a VLAN.

By default, proxy ARP within a VLAN is disabled.

arp-proxy inner-sub-vlan-proxy enable

undo arp-proxy inner-sub-vlan-proxy enable

Usage Guidelines

Some switches can isolate hosts within the same VLAN. To make these hosts capable of accessing each other, you must enable proxy ARP within a VLAN.

Example

# Enable proxy ARP within a VLAN on the GE sub-interface.

<sysname> system-view
[sysname] interface vlanif1
[sysname-Vlanif1] arp-proxy inner-sub-vlan-proxy enable
