checkzero (RIP)

Function

The checkzero command checks the MBZ (Must-Be-Zero) fields in RIP-1 packets.

The undo checkzero command disables the MBZ field check to save CPU resources when all neighbors are trustable.

By default, the MBZ field check is performed on RIP-1 packets.

Usage Guidelines

After being enabled with the MBZ field check, a FW does not process the received RIP-1 packets whose MBZ fields are not zero.
