The display default-parameter msdp command displays default configurations for Multicast Source Discovery Protocol (MSDP).

Usage Guidelines

This command displays only default configurations, regardless of whether the MSDP parameters have been changed from the defaults.

Example

# Display default configurations for MSDP.

Description

MSDP View Default Configurations

Indicates the default configurations in the MSDP view.

Cache-sa-enable

Indicates whether Source Active (SA) cache is enabled.

Msdp description

Indicates whether MSDP peer description is configured.

Encap-data-enable

Indicates whether encapsulating multicast data packets into the SA message is enabled.

Request-sa-enable

Indicates whether to send an SA Request message immediately after a Join message is received.

Sa-request-policy

Indicates whether the filtering rule for responding to the SA Request message is configured.

Sa-policy

Indicates whether the filtering rule for receiving or forwarding the SA message is configured.

Connect-retry-period

Indicates the time to retry to set up a TCP connection between MSDP peers.

Minimum TTL

Indicates the TTL value of the multicast data packet encapsulated in the SA message.
