ipv6 address link-local (upgrade-compatible command)

Function

The ipv6 address link-local command configures an IPv6 link-local address for an interface.

Format

ipv6 address ipv6-address link-local [ cga ] collision-count count

Parameters

Parameter Description Value
ipv6-address Specifies an IPv6 address. The value is a 32-digit hexadecimal number, in the format of X:X:X:X:X:X:X:X. The IPv6 link-local address to be configured must be prefixed with FE80::/10.
cga Indicates a CGA link-local address. -
collision-count count Specifies the maximum number of CGA address collisions allowed. The value is an integer ranging from 1 to 3.

Usage Guidelines

This command is available to aid upgrade compatibility. It can only be run during the configuration restoration phase of the upgrade.

It is replaced by the ipv6 address link-local cga command.
