Usage Guidelines

By default, the maximum number of downstream nodes of an entry is 2048.

If the configured number is smaller than the current number, the excessive downstream nodes are not deleted immediately, and must be deleted by the multicast routing protocol. In addition, no new downstream node can be added to the entry in the forwarding table.

Example

# In the public network instance, set the maximum number of downstream nodes of an entry in the forwarding table to 32.

<sysname> system-view
[sysname] multicast forwarding-table downstream-limit 32
# In a VPN instance, set the maximum number of downstream nodes of an entry in the multicast forwarding table to 32.
<sysname> system-view
[sysname] ip vpn-instance vpn1
[sysname-vpn-instance-vpn1] ipv4-family
[sysname-vpn-instance-vpn1-af-ipv4] multicast forwarding-table downstream-limit 32
