ntp-service in-interface disable

Function

The ntp-service in-interface disable command disables the interface from receiving the NTP message for IPv4 or IPv6.

The undo ntp-service in-interface disable command enables the interface to receive the NTP message for IPv4 or IPv6.

By default, the interface is enabled to receive the NTP message for both IPv4 and IPv6.

Format

ntp-service [ ipv6 ] in-interface disable

undo ntp-service [ ipv6 ] in-interface disable

Usage Guidelines

The ntp-service in-interface disable command disables the interface connecting to the external device from receiving NTP packets when the device does not need to synchronize with the external clock or provide the reference clock source for the external clock.

Example

# Disable GE0/0/0 from receiving the NTP packets.
